Health Readiness Resources is looking for Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals to help support our Nation’s Service members! Join Our Team as Mental Health Assessment Specialists.

As a Mental Health Assessment Specialist, you will provide mental health assessment services to the United States Military service members and refer to physicians and other health care members at the Military Treatment Facility as appropriate. This position will be remote. Assessments shall be scheduled as tele-health and/ video appointments.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the mental health field, have flexible schedules, and have excellent communication and documentation skills.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license (or certification when a state does not have licensure) to practice mental health independently in the state license in the state the call assessments are taken.
  • Social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychiatrists etc. qualify as Behavioral Health Specialist.
  • Mental Health Assessment Specialist personnel must complete the MHA and HIPPA Compliance training.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Possess and maintain the minimum amounts of malpractice insurance as required by state licensing regulations.
  • Support deployment related healthcare services by completing health assessments such as the PDHRA (Pre-Deployment Health Related Assessment) and MHA (Mental Health Assessment). The Behavioral Health Specialist will assess the results and refer patients for further treatment as appropriate.
  • Assessments shall be scheduled as tele-health and/ video appointments.
  • Explain procedures and discuss assessment results with patients.
  • Provide appropriate patient education.
  • Behavioral Health Specialist will not provide diagnostic or treatment services.
  • Provide quality care to service members according to behavioral health and organizational protocols.
  • Maintain real time adequate, concise, legible, and updated patient medical records that document allassessment services.
  • Participates in provider performance audits as assigned.
  • Complete initial and on-going Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) administered HIPAA compliance training.
