 Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting or related fields.

We are looking for a Studios Security Operations Manager to join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing the security operations programs at Amazon Studios. This security professional will have the overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the day-to-day security operations, key customer engagements, budget, and all other physical security related challenges as directed.

The ideal candidate will serve a critical security function while maintaining a customer service-focused approach. You will maintain access control, support incident management, and assist in coordinating emergency response. This position is located in Culver City, California. This position is located in Culver City, California. This role is expected to be on-site at least 3 days a week, but this may increase to meet the needs of the operation.

Key job responsibilities
  • Provide guard force management across multiple sites
  • Identify and manage emerging threats
  • Maintain situational awareness of the area of responsibility
  • Manage the deployment and quality of physical security
  • Security incident reporting and reviews.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Identify opportunities and risks, dive deep, and work with internal and external teams to implement solutions
  • Advise facilities management team of security related issues
  • Lead and drive development of security personnel skills sets
  • Coordinate daily security operations tasks in alignment with site activity.
  • Manage additional security coverage escort needs
  • Manage physical security remedy tickets
  • Audit access control and visitor management systems
  • Provide Guard force management across multiple sites.
  • Identify and manage emerging threats.
  • Maintain situational awareness of the area of responsibility.
  • Manage the deployment and quality of physical security.
  • Assist in planning and staffing special events.
  • Create and edit incident reports.
  • Manage security operations budget.
  • Interface regularly with security vendors.
  • Develop and provide security awareness training programs.
  • Manage security incidents and conduct security audits.
  • Lead planning and execution of security vendor service level agreements, key performance indicators, capacity, workflow plans for multiple sites.
  • Identify opportunities and risks, dive deep, and work with internal and external teams to implement solutions.
  • Create the development of internal and external security related communications across teams.
  • Lead and drive development of security personnel skills sets.
  • Build and foster professional relationships both internally and externally; develop a network of counterparts in both the public and private sectors.
  • Work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the operation.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Culver City, CA, USA

  • One or more professional certifications, such as CPP, PSP, or other comparable certifications
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and components
  • Experience in providing security oversight in high-rise buildings, other office or campus settings, or equivalent
  • Ability to manage tactical (daily) operations and participate in the development of strategic program plans
  • Results-oriented person with strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with various teams
  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems, e.g., Lenel, Milestone
  • Experience writing and publishing security standards
  • Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security related trend analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting basic investigations and fact finding
  • Understand business continuity and incident command system
  • Experience with the collection and analysis of threat intelligence
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Results-oriented person with strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with various teams
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately to meet tight deadlines and prioritize
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are critical, analyze semi-quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical/process requirements, and prioritize tasks
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and leaders across the organization to determine security priorities and direction

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $140,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
